According to a complaint on the U.S. Government’s

Department of Justice’s website , Hushpuppi who arrived in Chicago on Thursday evening after being deported from the

United Arab Emirates (UAE), has made his first court

appearance this morning, and is required to be transferred to los Angeles in the coming weeks. If convicted of conspiracy to engage in money laundering,

Hushpuppi would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
